December 31, 2015Our traditional Christmas party
It is the event on which current and former members, as well as partners and friends of the Association, meet to celebrate together just before the Christmas holidays. Our Christmas party!
Usually the party is organized by the team of Free Sofia Tour. This year, however, we decided to leave the organization to the team of the Social Awareness Program.
Although the Social Awareness Program is just one year younger than our first project Free Sofia Tour, not so many people know about its activities. It is our only project that is not in the field of tourism and therefore it remains in the shadow. Well this year we decided to put it in focus, present the team and reveal the projects we’re involved into.
Our hosts from DaDa Cultural Bar have prepared very special welcome drinks
Home-made rum & home-made mulled wine. And the team has prepared ginger X-mas cookies, vegan bonbons & walnut cookies, cheese bites, salty muffins, apple mini-baskets, chocolate lollipops, and baklava – all home-made!
Our extraordinarily tall dwarf Nikola was welcoming each guest. Then, each guest got the opportunity to pick up a good luck note crafted by our Christmas Fairy Snezhina. (snezhina meaning snowflake in Bulgarian 😉 ).
We had a short presentation about the activities of the Social Awareness Program
Including the projects with the kids from Doganovo and Shiroka Laka, the kids from Dreams Unlimited, and Sofia Integra Tours. Then we announced the surprise of the evening – one of the first refugees that we got in touch with now has a couple of songs and he sang for us his most famous song, dedicated to his new home – Sofia.
It was a very cozy, open-hearted & touching evening and the Social Awareness Program would like to thank everybody for sharing it with us!
We wish you and those close to you a joyous holiday season! A new year of health, happiness and prosperity, and hope for a world at peace!
