A very touching tour!
Please do not miss the FREE SOFIA JEWISH TOUR! Thank you so much, Slavyan, for a very touching and important guiding tour through the history of the Bulgarian Jews. You had the whole group including children and elderly people in your hand and told your personal story along with historical facts. It was the best Free walking tour I have attended and I have on a several tours in many European cities! It’s starts Friday at 11 am in front of the Sofia City Court.

Incredible Tours
I have done all of their tours, The Free Walking Tour (English & in Spanish) Communist, and Jewish tour in Sofia and the Free walking tour in Plovdiv and I'd highly recommend it. The guides are wonderfully kind and informative ready and willing to answer any questions you can tell they are passionate about sharing their city and history with others. I currently live in Sofia, which is why I've done them all and always recommend them to any visitors we have. Quick side note the Communist tour is paid, the others are all free and as I mentioned above they are all incredible and informative.

Sofia Jewish Tour
I had time spare in Sofia and thought it would be nice to get a different perspective on the city’s history. The tour was very informative and it was particularly interesting to hear the guide's story of how his Jewish family history was impacted by World War 2 and the country's Socialist period. I highly recommend this tour.

Excellent Jewish tour with Slavyan
I've done all of these tours organised by the 365 Association on my trips to Sofia over the past few years and they never fail to impress. All the guides are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, professional and love their city. This is a new tour and was absolutely fantastic and very thought provoking. Slavyan, who is Jewish himself, gave a very clear and comprehensive explanation of the history of Sofia's Jewish community over the past 2000 years. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The story of how thousands of Jews were saved during WW2 by a few brave people, including the Orthodox patriarch who stood in front of the trains was incredibly powerful and told with great passion by Slavyan. The history of the Jews under communism was also very interesting- I hadn't realised things had been so difficult for them. Slavyan's own story, which he told us at the end of the tour, is really amazing.
