13 is a special number for us – on August 13th 2010 we launched Free Sofia Tour and we are now celebrating three years since its birth.
This year we also pride ourselves in celebrating 3 years since the founding of our NGO and the start of its new “face” – 365 Association. Naturally, this occasion can’t remain unnoticed. We are going to celebrate it at betahaus on August 13th at 19:00. Not only will we treat you to artisanal white wine from the winery of Staro Oryahovo and rose from Vinprom Svishtov, but we are also going to introduce you to our team and announce the winner of our logo competition.
Out of the 40 candidates 6 finalists were selected (5 by the jury and 1 by our fans on Facebook). The winner will win great prizes provided by Superhosting – SupePro, a domain for a year AND 365 BGN provided by the 365 Association (did you notice the symbolic significance). The rest of the finalists will also receive their rewards at the event.
A birthday is not a birthday without singing, dancing, music and all kinds of surprises so we promise you lots of fun! And since you can’t go to a birthday party without bringing a present if you want to support the event and the 365 Association, you will have the opportunity to purchase a poster from our art exhibit Sofia before the Blue (Parking) Zone or leave us a little something in our birthday gifts box for the occasion.
What we’ve achieved in 3 years:
More than 36,000 guests from 6 continents and 160 countries including a big number of locals who like to get to know their own city and its history and hidden treasures. We have organized more than 2,200 free tours in Sofia! In comparison, we celebrated our first birthday with a total of 450 tours which means that in the last year we’ve had over 900 tours.
Since last year Free Sofia Tour attended more than 9,600 guests from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, USA, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. This year we welcomed our first guests from Macau, Congo, Afghanistan, and Saint Lucia. The total number of our new guests is 15,000 (yes, only in the last 365 days!)

We are extremely happy that for the past three years we’ve been ranked #1 attraction in Sofia on the popular travel website TripAdvisor for which we boast a Certificate of Excellence. We’ve also had extensive media coverage, a number of social and cultural activities, art exhibits and many more.
We are also a member of UEFT
An organization of the independent free tours across Europe whose goal is cross-promotion and the promotion of Europe as a whole as a tours destination. In the past few months we’ve also managed to develop a free tour for children sponsored through the Workshop for Civic Initiatives (WCIF).
The children’s tour which we developed includes lots of specially made drawings and games.

We owe all this to our guests, partners, fans and friends. Over 36,000 people who visited Free Sofia Tour have inspired us to create and develop Free Plovdiv Tour and Free Varna Touras well.
And we never stop creating! Even 365 days are not enough!
