This year our Association – 365, which stands behind the Free Tours of Sofia and Plovdiv, is launching two new and exciting projects: the Communist Tour and Culture Tour.
After 3 years of taking a break of starting new projects we are finally proud to show the guests of Sofia two of many tours, which we have been working on.
The beggining of the culture tour
The Culture tour started on the 10th of April with 11 guests, eager to learn more about the Bulgarian culture. The tour aims to show our visitors the top 10 things one should know about our country: on the tour you’ll learn about the typical clothes Bulgarians used to wear, the music we listen to and the dances we do, the food we eat and the favourite drinks here, some of the famous people, the language that we speak and write in, the celebrations, nowadays life and our most precious symbol.
- When: Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 11:00 am
- Price: 24 leva (12 euro)
- Distance: 3,6 km
- Duration: 3 hours (breaks included)
- Where: meeting point – Palace of Justice

The Communist tour started on the 9th of April with 13 guests.
Our Communist Tour in Sofia will help its guests to find out what it was like on the eastern side of the Iron Curtain. A 45 year-long period presented in only 3 and a half hours, including the reasons that led to it and its consequences. The guides will share all their knowledge of the Bulgarian communist period in a fun and interactive way. Our main goal is to present this controversial period of history in an objective and informative way.

– April to October – Every Day at 4pm
– November to March – Every Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 4pm - Price: 22 leva (11 euro)
- Distance: 3,6 km
- Duration: 3-3,5 hours (break included)

I took part on the culture tour in November, if you are short on time but really want to learn about this great country then this tour is for you, I would highly recommend it. Our guide was very welcoming and passionate wishing to to share her culture with you in a fun interactive way ensuring for a very memorable trip.
