September 26, 2012The biggest career forum for Bulgarians with international experience – “Career in Bulgaria: Why not?” – was held on 13th September in Sofia for the fifth consecutive year. The forum is organized by “Tuk-Tam” (Here-There) – Association of Bulgarians with education or/and experience abroad, and career website Back2BG, supported by the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad.
The annual forum “Career in Bulgaria: Why not?”
It brings together Bulgarians who studied and/or worked abroad with leading companies in Bulgaria, in order for the young professionals to learn more about the various career opportunities in Bulgaria and meet many other Bulgarians like them – with international educational or professional experience, looking for the best place for personal and career realization. This is not just a career forum, this is an event that has a strong social and public importance and over the years has proven that it can change lives. So far over 3,500 candidates have participated, more than 100 leading companies in Bulgaria are presented with information stands, corporate presentations, seminars, and more than 30 leading executives shared their experiences.
The founders of the Free Sofia Tour Association have also spent some time abroad.
And when they came back to Bulgaria, one thing they were missing was the regular contact with people from all over the world. This was one of the main motivations for them to start with the project Free Sofia Tour. Therefore, this year our Association was invited by the organizers to present with an information stand its team and projects, to valuable partners, and to talk to potential future members about how they see their future in Bulgaria.
A lot of people stopped at Free Sofia Tour information stand during the career forum. Some of them were curious what is this, others were interested in our career opportunities 🙂 and some just came to say “Guys, you are doing a great job, go on like that!” A common thing between these various groups of people was the experience they have gained abroad, either studying or working somewhere around the world. Because of that we had people that have lived all around the globe on one or two of the 6 continents. We’ve met Bulgarians that live and work in Europe, the US, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Chili and many more. Almost everybody expressed their opinion on how much Bulgaria have changed and that our Association is one of these positive changes that occurred in the last few years.
Thank you all!
