Rila Monastery Express Day Tour

This day trip offers a great value opportunity to explore Bulgaria’s most iconic monastery, set in the peaceful Rila Mountains. Founded in the 10th century, Rila Monastery is a spiritual and cultural treasure, with richly decorated architecture, vibrant frescoes, and a 14th-century defensive tower.

The guided portion of the tour lasts approximately 40 minutes, followed by around 4 hours of free time to further explore the complex, visit the history museum (entrance not included), check out local shops, or enjoy lunch.

Return to Sofia is expected around 17:30 – 18:00, depending on traffic.
