Guest number 50 000 is coming this week

Free Sofia Tour – the first and best known project of 365 Association – is getting ready to greet our guest number 50 000!

Now you are probably wondering how we know that he/she is coming. It is a big effort of our team to count every single person on our tours, keep track, try not to lose the sign-up sheet until the numbers have been recorded online. This is actually how we do it:

And to make sure the list is accurate we even count the smiley faces in our group pictures as well:

If you have been on one of our tours you are in that list. If you haven’t yet at 11:00 o’clock on Wednesday this week  is the time to show up. Might turn out that YOU will be OUR guest number 50 000.

To be able to greet guest number 50 000 the Free Sofia Tour has:

• received more than 250 CV’s from people who wanted to join our team
• had over 25 tour guides on our team (only they survived the training)
• 17 active tour guides who do the tours every day, twice a day
• organized a total of 2 975 tours: 193 in 2010, 687 in 2011, 865 in 2012, 893 in 2013, 337 (so far) in 2014 – wow!
• spent 401 625 minutes or 6 694 hours in guiding around Sofia
• walked over 135 000 kilometers around the city of Sofia, which means we circled the Equator (40,075 km long) more than 3 times
• guided 36 594 people from Europe since 2012
• met 7 598 people from North America since 2012
• had 2 388 guests from South America since 2012
• been visited by 5 963 people from Asia since 2012
• told the history of Sofia to 3 441 people from Australia since 2012
• shown our city to 624 from Africa since 2012
• greeted 3 836 Bulgarians since 2012

We are more than proud of the facts above, but they would not have been possible without our guests and our team!

So big thank you to all of you – guests, fans and our whole team. Our plan is to continue doing what we do best – tours. If you want to feel our love for Sofia – join us on a tour. If you want to become part of our history – join us this Wednesday on the tour at 11am. You will get to meet our team, the mayor of the city of Sofia, be on the news and get some of our surprises.

If you can not make it to the tour at 11:00 you can come to celebrate with us later that day at our Get Together at DaDa Cultural Club at 19:00 o’clock.
